An-Najah News - The Russian nutritionist, Olga Shumiluva, said that the unlimited consumption of berries may cause weight gain.
She explained in her interview with the Russian “Fizda" channel: "If there is a risk of weight gain, the amount of the consumed berries should be strictly supervised, as berries have high calories, which may lead to weight gain".
Meanwhile, Shumiluva indicated that berries are a source of vitamins and minerals, and they could be eaten safely without restrictions, in the absence of excess weight.
She emphasized that any food may cause weight gain in the case of an inappropriate diet and low physical activity.
