An-Najah News -  The unopened Super Mario Brothers video game of 1985 sold for the highest price of $2 million.

 

The New York Times reported that the new price broke the record set less than a month ago, when a sealed copy of Super Mario 64 was sold for $1.56 million at auction.

 

The Rally website, which is responsible for the auction, bought Super Mario Brothers for $140,000 last April, according to the New York Times, and shareholders agreed to sell it to an anonymous collector.

 

Last year saw records for the most expensive video game, in July 2020, a copy of "Super Mario Brothers" sold for 114,000 dollars at auction, and in November a copy of "Super Mario Brothers 3" broke this record, and sold for 156 A thousand dollars at auction, then this record was broken in April 2021 when a copy of “Super Mario Brothers” sold for 660,000 dollars at auction, followed in July of this year a copy of “The Legend of Zelda” that sold for 870 one thousand dollars.
