An-Najah News -  The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation condemned the demolition of homes and facilities carried out by the Israeli occupation forces in the Al-Bustan neighborhood of Silwan town in the occupied city of Jerusalem.

The organization explained in a statement issued, Wednesday, that what is happening in Silwan is an extension of the process of forced displacement of Jerusalemites in favor of Judaization projects and colonial settlement schemes with the aim of changing the demographic, geographical and legal reality of the Holy City.

The organization stressed that these actions are a violation of international law, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities to provide international protection for the Palestinian people, end the occupation and achieve a just and lasting peace in accordance with the relevant UN resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative based on the two-state solution and the establishment of the independent State of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital.
