An-Najah News - The Dutch Foreign Ministry said that the wife of the Dutch ambassador to Lebanon died on Saturday, after she was seriously injured in the massive explosion that shaked the port of Beirut last Tuesday.

The ministry said that Mrs. Hedwig and Altmans Mollier, 55, was injured in the blast when she was standing next to her husband, Ambassador Jan and Altmans, in the living room of their home in Beirut.

The explosion on Tuesday caused serious damage to the Dutch embassy, and the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, earlier announced that 5 people at the Dutch embassy in Beirut, including the ambassador's wife, had been injured in the port’s explosion, which left more than 150 people dead and thousands injured.
