An-Najah News - Yesterday, Sunday, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry announced that his country had restored diplomatic contacts with Turkey, but at the same time he stressed that "words alone are not sufficient" to restore full ties between the two countries.

This came during statements made by Shukri during a meeting of the Foreign Relations Committee in the House of Representatives, according to the official "Akhbar Al-Youm" newspaper.

The Foreign Minister said that if Cairo found "a change in Turkish policy, approach and objectives to be in line with Egyptian policies and with what restores normal relations for the benefit of the region, this could be a ground to restore normal conditions."

And he stressed that "words alone are not enough, words must be accompanied by actions."

He considered that "the political situation and positions of some Turkish politicians were negative, but they did not affect the relations between the two peoples."
