An-Najah News - The Vatican summoned the ambassadors of the United States of America and Israel about the Israeli annexation plan. Expressing the Holy See's concern about possible unilateral measures that would threaten the quest for peace between Israelis and Palestinians, as well as the sensitive situation in the Middle East.

The Holy See reaffirmed that the states of Israel and Palestine have the right to exist and to live in peace and security, in accordance with internationally recognized borders.

 He appealed to the parties to make effort to resume the process of direct negotiation on the basis of United Nations resolutions, so that they are supported by measures that can restore mutual trust.
