An-Najah News - At least 81 Ethiopians have been killed in protests in the country over the past two days.

Ethiopia had witnessed a wave of widespread protests after the popular singer and songwriter Hashalu Hundisa, 34, was shot dead, as protesters and security forces clashed, before the authorities decided to block Internet and telecommunications services in the entire country.

 

The killing of singer Hundisa has shocked the Oromo community,  where the Ethiopian Prime Minister Abi Ahmed,  mourned the young singer and described him as an "inspiring youth", demanded his people to keep self-restraint.

 

Police reported that the suspected perpetrators of the murder had been arrested, and the motive for the crime is till unknown
