An-Najah News - Two prisoners had to flee from a prison in Rome in order to solve their family problems, and they left a message promising to return again after saving their children.
In their letter, David Zukanovic, 40 years old, and Lil Ahmadovic, 46 years old, who are close and belonging to Roma, explained in their letter that their children were likely in a bad situation due to a drug-trafficking issue, stressing that they should "protect them" as they are their fathers.
They added that they had to flee because their wives were also imprisoned, so they decided to personally solve the children's problems.
The two cousins, who were sentenced to prison until 2029 after being convicted of fraud and hiding stolen goods, promised to return "as soon as possible," according to the newspaper.
"Now that they have escaped from Ribya Prison, they will be charged with flight and may face an additional five-year prison sentence. Perhaps this new punishment will persuade them to forget about the promise to return and write a farewell instead of meeting."
