An-Najah News - The League of Arab States condemned the Israeli plan of the Israeli occupation government to annex any part of the Palestinian territory occupied in 1967, including the Jordan Valley, the northern Dead Sea, and the lands on which the Israeli settlements are located and its surroundings, and considered this as a new war crime against the Palestinians.

After a video meeting of Arab foreign ministers on Thursday, Arab foreign ministers demanded that the American administration adhere to the United Nations Charter and its resolutions related to the conflict in the Middle East region, and to the principles and provisions of international law, and to refrain from supporting the plans and maps of the Israeli occupation government that are being hatched under the cover of the so-called plan American peace, aimed at annexing occupied Palestinian land and seizing it by force.

The foreign ministers emphasized the support of the Arab countries for any decisions or steps taken by Palestine to confront Israeli plans to commit the crime of annexation and colonial settlement expansion.

The Arab foreign ministers called on the International Quartet to “hold an urgent meeting to save the chances of peace and a two-state solution, and to take an international position consistent with international decisions and the references of the peace process, to compel the Israeli occupation government to stop implementing its colonial plans, including annexation and expansion, settlement activities, and ending the Israeli occupation that started in 1967.”

It is noteworthy that the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, set 1st of July as the date for starting discussions in the cabinet on expanding Israeli sovereignty over the Jewish settlements in the West Bank and annexing the Jordan Valley.
