An-Najah News - US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, continues to attack the World Health Organization, concerning how it responded to coronavirus crisis.

He indicated that Washington might continue to suspend its funding to the organization in an effort to “reform it.”

This came in comments Pompeo made to the “Fox News” channel yesterday evening, Wednesday, in response to a question whether he considered that WHO officials are unable to respond to American concerns.

Pompeo said: “Yes, that is correct, and even more than that. Maybe the United States will no longer return US taxpayer money to the World Health Organization.”

He added, “We may need more radical reform,” an implicit reference to a change in the organization's leadership.

On 14^th of April, US President Donald Trump announced that he had instructed his government to suspend WHO funding, at least temporarily, because of its handling of the Corona virus crisis.
