An-Najah News - Agencies – Although the Ukraine government says that “everything is under control” and the fires will not be of danger on the Chernobyl nuclear plant, people are actually in fear of the opposite.

The first fire covered about 84 acres, and the second fire is about 1000 meters from the plant, Ukraine has sent hundreds of firefighters, and helicopters.

The problem the firefighters are facing is that they can’t get too close to the plant’s zone.

Chernobyl tour operator Yaroslav Yemelianenko, wrote on Facebook that the fire is rapidly expanding and has reached the abandoned city of Pripyat which is too close to the nuclear plant.

In 1986, the nuclear plant had a catastrophic meltdown and blew up which led to the spread of radioactive fallouts across Europe.
