An-Najah News - Microsoft has offered a $100,000 reward to anyone who can hack the security of its dedicated version of the Linux OS operating system.

Microsoft wants to test Azure Sphere OS security, and will pay up to $100,000 in the event of a breakout of the Pluton security subsystem, or Secure World mode, according to AIT NEWS, a technical news website.

The Gap Rewards Programme is part of a three-month research challenge, running from 1st of June to 31st of August.

Some companies, such as Starbucks, have started using the system to secure their store equipment, which obtains information from data points on the type of coffee, the coffee temperature and the quality of the water used in the coffee industry.
