An-Najah News - Qatar has announced the first cases of the coronavirus, to workers at the FIFA World Cup 2022 stadiums building workshops.

Qatar has announced that 3,711 people have been infected with corona virus, and 7 of them have died since 6^th of March, but this is the first time that it has revealed positive tests at the World Cup sites, according to Reuters news agency.

Qatar is building 7 new stadiums to host the World Cup.

The World Cup is scheduled to take place in November and December 2022, instead of the usual summer, due to the high summer temperatures in Qatar.

Playgrounds and infrastructure continued during the corona crisis, despite warnings imposed by the World Health Organization and closures imposed by neighboring countries on construction work.
