An-Najah News - The Palestinian Minister of Health, Mai Al-Kaila, announced Saturday that 1,064 new cases of Coronavirus and 25 deaths had been recorded during the past 24 hours, while the government decided to continue to close the West Bank.
Al-Kailah said in a press statement that "the Gaza Strip recorded 704 new cases of Corona, out of all new cases."
She added: "The total number of people with corona in the intensive care rooms has reached 119, of whom 27 are patients on artificial respirators
The Palestinian government decided to continue the partial closure of the West Bank to counter the spread of Corona.
Government spokesman Ibrahim al-Melhem said: "Movement is prohibited daily from 7 pm to 6 am, and movement is strictly prohibited in all governorates on Friday and Saturday for a period of two weeks."
He added, "The decisions also include banning weddings, parties, funerals, festivals and gatherings of all kinds."
The data of the Palestinian Ministry of Health indicates that the total number of infections with the Coronavirus since the outbreak of the pandemic last March reached 157,897, of which 136,383 have recovered and 1,572 people have died.
