An-Najah News - Egypt affirmed Saturday that it will continue its tireless efforts towards the Palestinian issue in line with Egypt's foreign policy principles.

Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi held a meeting in Cairo with Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Riyad Malki and Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, where they discussed developments in efforts to reactivate the peace process and the track of negotiations for the Palestinian issue, Egyptian Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said in a statement.

Sisi stressed the importance of uniting Arab and international efforts to move effectively during the coming period to relaunch the peace negotiations between the Palestinians and the Israelis.

He also highlighted the need to overcome the challenges witnessed over the previous period, in parallel with the efforts to reach the national reconciliation and build confidence among the Palestinian parties in order to strengthen the basic path of achieving the desired peace.
