An-Najah News -  Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry affirmed  Egypt's steadfast stance on the Palestinian cause.

 and support for the Palestinian people’s legitimate rights.

According to a statement the remarks were made during his meeting with the Secretary-General of the Central Committee of Fatah Movement, Jibril Rajoub, and member of the Committee, Rawhi Fattouh.

Shoukry reiterated Egypt's unwavering support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people aimed at establishing the independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

In this context, he affirmed Egypt's backing for all efforts towards achieving stability, peace and security.

The two Palestinian officials emphasized the pivotal role of Egypt in converging the Palestinians' views and achieving the desired reconciliation.

For his part, Rajoub emphasized that the Egyptian role is an important and pivotal role in achieving the reconciliation.
