An-Najah News - More than 1.3 million students back to their classes in the occupied West Bank and the Gaza Strip after the offical opening of the new school year in Palestine.

schools were shutdown in the last six-month  due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Strict attendance program has been put in place taking into account the health hazards of the novel coronavirus.

The total number of students in the West Bank and Gaza are about 1 million and 350,000 students, 743,953 of whom are in the West Bank, while 597,838 are in the Gaza Strip according to the Ministry of Education.

A rigorous program in schools will be  taken in order to guarantee the safety of the students and teaching staff.
