An-Najah News - The Detainees and Ex-Detainees Commission said that Musa Zahran, 53, a Palestinian administrative detainee in Israeli prisons, ended today his hunger strike which lasted for 15 days in protest of his detention without a charge or trial.
Zahran’s decision to end his hunger strike came after he reached an agreement with the Israel Prison Service on not renewing his current six-month administrative detention order, without charge or trial according to Hasan Abd Rabbu, the media adviser of the Detainees Affairs Commission.
Rights groups say that Israel‘s administrative detention policy has been used as an attempt to disrupt influential Palestinian figures, notably politicians, activists, and journalists.
