An-Najah News - According to sources Gaza’s sole power plant shut downas the fuel needed to operate it ran out as a result of the Israeli occupation’s closure of Karem Abu Salem crossing.

Karem Abu Salem is the only commercial border crossing between Israel and Gaza located to the southeast of Rafah.

The Gaza Energy Authority estimates that the electricity deficit will increase to 75% without a functioning Gaza power station, plunging the electricity supply to Gazans to as low as three to four hours a day.
