An-Najah News - Jewish settlers burned Monday early morning hundreds of olive trees south of the West Bank city of Nablus according to official sources.
Ghassan Daghlas, a PA official who monitors settlement activities in northern West Bank said that a group of fanatic settlers from the illegal settlement of Yitzhar attacked the villages of Burin and Madama and torched hundreds of olive trees belonging to Palestinian farmers from the two villages .
The attack came hours after hundreds of dunums of agricultural land was set on fire by settlers in nearby Beita village.
Arson attacks by Israeli settlers increased during the hot summer season when dry grass has grown in many areas surrounding the illegal Jewish-only settlements.
