An-Najah News - Several hundred Palestinians who have been stuck in Europe following the closure of airports and borders due to the coronavirus pandemic are getting ready to come back home according to the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
In a statement the Ministry said that the Palestinians, mainly students, whose trip has been confirmed will board a Royal Jordanian plane in Frankfurt airport in Germany to be flown to Amman airport before crossing into the Israeli-occupied West Bank.
While the Jordanian airport remains closed for travelers, Jordan has agreed, at the request of the Palestinian Authority, to exclusively open the airport for the arrival of the passenger plane from Frankfurt, since Jordan is the only way for Palestinians to return home in light of the absence of Palestinian ports due to the Israeli occupation of their land.
