An-Najah News - The Islamic Endowments Council in occupied Jerusalem announced, in a statement issued today, Wednesday, new measures to protect worshipers in Al-Aqsa Mosque from pandemic coronavirus.

 

The council, pointed out that the prayer will be unified inside Al-Aqsa mosque and behind one imam during emergency times.

 

He appealed to the worshipers to pray in the courtyards, and to adopt a policy of social distancing, calling for not using the baths to prevent any infection.

 

In its statement, the Council called on the elderly and the sick to pray in their homes, or in the nearest mosque to their place of residence to preserve their health.

 

The statement called for full compliance with the health instructions issued by the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization, in terms of wearing masks, and bringing their own rug to pray, and everyone who violates these instructions will not be able to enter and pray in the mosque.

 

He stressed on the necessity to adhere to the places designated by the Islamic Endowments Department to perform the prayer, and to strictly comply with the instructions issued by the mosque guards and employees, and the system committees to preserve the safety of all.
