An-Najah News - The Palestinian Child institute of the An-Najah National University (PCI) signed an agreement of Cooperation with Welfare Association (Taawon) To enhance the capabilities of the center to provide psychological, educational and recreational support services to children and their families during Corona pandemic and its repercussions.
The director of the Palestinian child Institute, Dr. Ali Al-Shaar: said “The importance of the agreement with the Welfare Association is forming a distinct step in the institute, and a new and escalating way of cooperation in the service that is represented for a wide range of children, specifically expanding work with children in marginalized areas, and children who suffer from Growth Problems and to support parents with skills to able to deal with children in such circumstances and crises. "
Dr Al-Shaar presented and talked about "Abdul Rahman Al-Nanaish" Project which will serve children from 10 years to 16 years to be a role model and entrepreneur project to reach out to all the target categories
He continued: We aspire to make a positive change in the lives of children and their families, and to measure this impact, to be in harmony with the aspiration of donors, to achieve a success story by integrating children with autism with their surroundings, pointing to many of the institutions that supported the institute, including first welfare association and the Association Thalassemia, World Vision, and Roots Foundation.
The director of the Palestinian Child Institute praised An-Najah National University for supporting the institute financial security in spite of the huge expenditures, noting that they communicated with the Ministry of Health in order to qualify the "Palestinian child Institute to obtain government health insurance coverage for its services, and this will almost solve the financial crises of about 70 % of the families. "
Dr Al-Shaar Also mentioned the institute effort during Corona pandemic and its response to the crises and the resultant of changing to Internet work style which caused a great challenge in the field of education and rehabilitation, adding that more than two thousand educational and rehabilitative sessions have been completed for children and about 150 children who crossed successfully without relapses.
