An-Najah News - The Palestinian Authority confirmed that it will follow systematic steps to respond to the occupation’s decision to annex the West Bank and the Jordan Valley, and that relations will not return as they were in the past if this resolution will be applied, which is contrary to all international covenants and laws.

A member of the Central Committee of the Palestinian Fatah Movement, Hussein Al-Sheikh, revealed to "The New York Times" that the Palestinian Authority of President Mahmoud Abbas plans to cancel all Palestinian obligations stipulated in the Oslo agreement.

Al-Sheikh indicated that this plan aims to remind "Israel" of the meaning of the occupation and the burdens that they will bear if the Palestinian Authority is dissolved.

He stressed that the Palestinian Authority would act to dissolve itself if the decision to annex the West Bank and the Jordan Valley is applied. Al- Sheikh said: "We are not nihilists, nor stupid, we do not want chaos."

He added: "We are realistic; we do not want to reach the point of no return ... annexation means there is no return to relations with" Israel”.

He continued: "Either Israel will back off from the annexation and things will return to the way they were before, or insist on annexation and return to being an occupying power for all of the West Bank."

Al- Sheikh indicated that annexing the West Bank means ending the dream of establishing a Palestinian state, and that the role of the Palestinian Authority is limited to following civil matters, such as running schools, hospitals, and police stations.

"Our role will turn into an active" agent "with the Israeli occupation ... I will not accept being a service provider because I am neither a municipality nor a charity.", he added.
