An-Najah News - The American Ambassador to the occupation state, David Friedman, incited the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, to accelerate the announcement of the annexation of territories in the occupied West Bank.

He told an Israeli newspaper that “if the government of “Israel” announces this, then the United States is ready to recognize in the coming weeks the sovereignty of “Israel” over the Jordan Valley and the Israeli settlement in Judea and Samaria.”

Friedman added in an interview with the newspaper “Israel Hayom” that “when the Israeli Prime Minister, Netanyahu, agrees to negotiate with the Palestinians based on Trump's plan “Deal of the Century”, we will recognize the sovereignty of “Israel” in the areas that under the plan will become part of it,” he said.

It is reported that the coalition agreement between the Likud and Kahol Lavan parties, which Netanyahu and Gantz signed, requires that the implementation of unilateral annexation measures be started by next July.

Friedman said that the United States would have no conditions, except for those Trump mentioned, in order to recognize Israel's “sovereignty”. He stressed that the occupation government is not required to pledge to agree to the establishment of a Palestinian state, but rather “the condition in this matter is that the Israeli prime minister, agrees to negotiate with the Palestinians, and invites them to meet and discuss with them, with open talks, for four years.”

“The Palestinians do not want to come to the table yet. If they change their minds after two years and agree, the Israeli prime minister must be committed to conducting the deliberations. This is a specified period, and we want this possibility to remain on the table for four years,” Friedman added.

He claimed that the Beit El settlement and the outposts in Hebron are the “historical heart of Judea and Samaria,” and that “through talks with Israelis of all levels, I understood that they believed this plan is the best for them. If I had not heard that, I would not have been calm. It is just as we, the Americans, will never give up on the Statue of Liberty, although this is a very small area, but you too will not cede these places,” he said.
