An-Najah News - Ramallah - The ex-detainee, Ahmed Sobh, said that the procedures to prevent corona virus are absent in the Negev desert prison.

Sobh, who was released yesterday from the Negev desert prison, after spending 14 years in the occupation prisons, stated that the most dangerous thing that the captive movement is currently facing is the health situation due to the lack of doctors in the prison, as there is no sterilization or cleaning materials in the prison, as recently, the cleaning supplies were reduced, noting that there are no clinics in detention and no medicines.

Sobh told local news that the prisoners are afraid and are concerned over their medical condition due to the lack of the slightest measures to prevent the spread of Corona virus, especially after one of the prisoners was isolated on suspicion of being infected with the virus.

He appealed to all humanitarian organizations, the World Health Organization and human rights institutions to assume their responsibilities towards the prisoners, and to put pressure on the occupation government to take the necessary measures to prevent the spread of the virus, foremost among which is the provision of sterilization materials and detergents inside the departments, and the opening of medical clinics.
