An-Najah News - Gaza - Al-Mizan Center for Human Rights reported that the Israeli occupation forces committed 92 violations of the right of Palestinian fishermen to the sea of the Gaza Strip since the beginning of this year.

In a statement, PCHR clarified that the occupation forces fired at fishermen 92 times, wounding 6 fishermen, and arrested 3 others, including a child, and seized a fishing boat and destroyed 7 boats and fishing equipment.

Those forces continue their organized violations of the right of fishermen at sea, as they pursue them and open fire with machine guns towards them, endangering and arresting their lives, sabotaging their fishing gear and seizing their boats, according to the center.

The PCHR condemns the escalation of Israeli violations against the fishermen and deprived them of their livelihoods in light of the continuous deterioration of the humanitarian situation and the threat posed by the outbreak of the corona virus.
