An-Najah News - Nablus - Israeli occupation forces (IOF) barred Palestinian volunteers from manning a checkpoint in two northern Jordan Valley villages set up to restrict movement in an effort to combat spread of the coronavirus. Mutaz Bisharat, who is in charge of the Israeli settlements file in the Tubas governorate said - the soldiers forced the volunteers to leave the area and took down the Palestinian flag. Mahmoud Sawafta Fatah, secretary general in Tubas said this is the tenth time the soldiers dismantled the Palestinian checkpoint since the outbreak of coronavirus.
Sawafta added, volunteers wanted to help the local councils maintain order in their villages to prevent the spread of the deadly virus when the Israeli soldiers ordered them to leave the area.
