An-Najah News - Nablus - President Mahmoud Abbas congratulated His Holiness Pope Francis and all our people on the occasion of the Easter Day. His Eminence said in a telegram addressed to His Holiness the Pope: “We ask God Almighty, that this year's resurrection will be the resurrection of all peoples from under the rubble of this suffering and this virus, and that battle ends and life returns to normal.”

Churches that run according to the Western calendar celebrate Sunday, Easter, and prayers are held in the churches of Jerusalem and Bethlehem, while churches that follow the eastern calendar celebrate “Palm Sunday”.

Our Christian people will not be able to participate in the liturgy and Easter prayers in their churches, due to their closure in order to avoid overcrowding, which is one of the main causes of transmission of the Corona pandemic infection.
