An-Najah News - Nablus-The Health Directorate spokesman in Gaza, Ashraf Qudra, confirmed 12 new coronavirus cases in Gaza strip.

He pointed out the Directorate is following up with the government’s institutions to take preventive measures to tackle the coronavirus.

He explained that medical crews followed up with 1816 suspected cases in 27 quarantine centers, and added, “We conducted 830 examinations of suspected cases during last March, most of which were negative”.

“The medical teams in the sector are working to confront the coronavirus with limited capabilities due to the suffocating Israeli blockade”, adding, “We need 100 respirators and 140 beds”.

Today, Wednesday, Minister of Health Mai Alkila announced the sending of 1500 kits for coronavirus tests to the Ministry's centers in the Gaza Strip.

These quantities are part of test kits provided by the General Intelligence Service with the efforts of Major General Majed Faraj, noting that the World Health Organization will deliver these kits to the Gaza Strip
