An-Najah News - Nablus, Wednesday, April 1, 2020 - The Palestinian prime minister, Mohammed Ishtayyeh, said on Wednesday, that the actual aperture in the Palestinian battle against the coronavirus is the Israeli occupation, settlements, borders, and their procedures which preclude and inhibit the Palestinian attempts to protect the Palestinian citizens and prevent a possible outbreak of the virus.
Ishtayyeh said in a press statement on Wednesday after recording 15 cases, working at a factory in the "Atrout" settlement, located in the north of occupied Jerusalem. He also said that "the Israeli facilities which allow labors to commute between their workplaces and the Palestinian lands are threatening any efforts that were taken by us to seize the spread of COVID-19".
Furthermore, Ishtayyeh condemned what has been said from Israel about any medical cooperation between Israel and the West Bank saying: " we don't want any Israeli-related-custody on our procedures, as all we want from them is to leave us alone".
