An-Najah News - Nablus – The Palestinian detainees in the Israeli prisons appealed to Human Rights Institutions through an urgent letter asking them to immediately intervene to save their lives or else their cells will turn into mass graves in light of the coronavirus outbreak.

The prisoners said: “we feel the danger to our lives is increasing day by day in the Israeli prisons, especially with the coronavirus outbreak, we don’t see any serious measures are being taken to stop the outbreak of the virus here.”

“There are a lot of prisoners who suffer from various illnesses which makes their situation very dangerous,” said the prisoners.

“The Israeli prison administration is not providing us with any needed sterilization items or masks; they just keep on threatening us instead of examining us and taking precautions to not pass the virus to us,” the prisoners added.

They finished their rescue call by saying: “don’t let us die on our beds in prisons, while the infection is spreading without anyone treating us or protecting our health.”
