An-Najah News - Malek Ghannam, a Palestinian who works in the Palestinian occupied lands (1948), shares his story of being left on Sera checkpoint by the occupation forces because he was suspected of having the coronavirus.

He used to work and sleep in an under construction building, and last Thursday, he got flu from one of the other workers and couldn’t keep on working due to his illness, Malek said in an interview with An Najah News.

He was kept on asphalt for two hours in front of Ekhlov Hospital in Tel Aviv and refused to treat him in any way, and after that, the Israeli police tied his hands and left him on Sera checkpoint without coordinating with the Palestinian ambulance which made him wait there for one hour and a half, according to Malek.

Afterwards, the needed tests were done and he tested negative for the coronavirus, and is now put in home-quarantine for 14 days.
