An-Najah News - Ramallah – Today, the Palestinian Prime Minister, Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh, have announced several serious measures that will last for 14 days, starting today, Sunday, 22nd of March, at 10 pm.

Dr. Shtayyeh has announced the imposition of curfew on all over Palestine in order to stop the spread of coronavirus.

Most businesses will be closed except for hospitals and other vital services, like pharmacies and bakeries, according to Dr. Shtayyeh in a press conference today.  

He also confirmed that moving between cities, villages and camps is not allowed, and people are called to stay at their homes.

In order to maintain security police forces will be deployed to various cities and their entrances, and anyone who violates will be punished according to the law, he added.

“We announce the closure of the directorates of ministries in the governorates except for health, civil and financial affairs", Dr. Shtayyeh said.

He also announced that the workers will also be prevented from going to the Israeli settlements, adding: "We demand Israel as occupation authority to assume all its responsibilities towards our people in Jerusalem.”
