An-Najah News - The Board of Trustees of An-Najah National University approved the decision to appoint Dr. Abdel Nasser Zeid as the new president of the university, after Prof. Dr. Maher Al-Natshe, whose term as president of the university ends with the end of the current academic year.

Abdel Nasser Zaid (53 years old) has a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences - Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology, from the University of Ferrara, Italy, and holds the position of Vice President for Academic Affairs. Prior to that, he held the position of Director of the Department of Pharmacy at the University’s Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.

He holds the rank of Distinguished Professor in Pharmaceutical Sciences - Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology at An-Najah National University. He has co-authored more than 120 refereed scientific manuscripts in many disciplines of pharmaceutical sciences, and worked as a consultant for the pharmaceutical industry, government agencies, and an expert in developing drug formulations. In addition, Dr. Zaid has conducted a postdoctoral fellowship in cooperation with King Pharmaceuticals in North Carolina - USA, and has established many scientific collaborations with local, regional and international research groups.
