An-Najah News - The Community Service Center at An-Najah National University, in cooperation with the Social Charitable Center Society, held the monthly meeting with the elderly of the Center as part of the Elderly Care Program. The Good Charity Kitchen (Mabarrat AL-Kheir), headed by Dr. Muawiya Al-Masry hosted the meeting for the elderly who are involved in activities at the University’s Community Service Center.
The Kitchen prepared and served delicious and healthy food for the elderly. The Head of the kitchen and the team of Mabarrat AL-Kheir (staff and volunteers), participated in the event, and presented the services.
Raja’ Al-Bawwab, Coordinator of the Elderly Care Program of the University’s Community Service Center, emphasized the importance of holding regular meetings with the elderly. Al- Rawwab said: “Older adults who stay socially active and engaged experience a variety of benefits, including maintaining good emotional health, and connecting with others keeps seniors in a positive mood, which in turn wards off depression.”
