An-Najah News - Nablus - The President of An-Najah University, Prof. Dr. Maher Natshehe, in a press conference, on this remarkable new achievement, which is considered a victory in light of the current challenges and difficult conditions that the Palestinian people live in.

 

He pointed out that the most difficult suffering currently is the Corona virus, which had a severe impact on education and economical Palestinian system.

He explained that the university continued its research production like previous years despite the obstacles, which gave it a distinguished position in the reliable international university rankings, led by Shanghai, the Times and (QS), which are based on difficult criteria.

 

 

Dr. Nidal Dweikat, Vice President for Planning, Development and Quality at the university, congrats the university, its staff and students for this Arab and international achievement.

 

About the classification criteria, he said: “Universities are evaluated by academic and operational reputation, international cooperation in publishing research, the percentage of teachers holding a doctorate degree, the percentage of citations from published scientific research completed at the university, the impact of the university’s website, and the percentage of Foreign students and teachers who are non-Palestinian.

 

He pointed out that more than 1000 Arab universities participated in the classification, 160 of them qualified for the competition, including ten Palestinian universities, and the first class was for An-Najah and the 37 among the Arab universities
