An-Najah News - An-Najah National University represented by Prof. Maher Al-Natsheh, President of the University, a joint cooperation agreement represented by Adnan Samara, Chairman of Higher Council for Innovation and Excellence which aims to enhance cooperation in the field of conducting research and scientific projects in the medical field which is more specifically concerned with the detection of proteins and genes.
Related to the mechanism of action of the Corona virus, and the quest to find effective treatments to eliminate this dangerous epidemic.
Natsheh stressed the importance of concluding such agreements that are concerned with encouraging applied and qualitative scientific research, as these agreements are basic for developing partnerships between educational institutions and development centers, which in turn are fundamental of sustainable development in Palestine.
For his part, Samara stressed the importance of the agreement as a clear indication of the consolidation of the concepts of a culture of creativity and excellence among the Palestinian community, stressing the need to support scientific achievements in all fields.
The delegation visited the facilities of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences in the new campus, such as the An-Najah Center for Cancer and Stem Cell Research, the Animal Unit, the Central Research Laboratory, and the Neuroscience Laboratory.
The delegation expressed its admiration for the advanced level of specialties and the unique and advanced medical and scientific centers present at the university, expressing Their pride in providing everything that would support the relentless scientific efforts and the technical and academic aspects.
This step comes within the framework of the university of networking with all parties concerned with supporting the innovation process in Palestine, and adopting creative initiatives and scientific and pioneering efforts that would advance the Palestinian society in various fields.
