Steam cooking helps in taking advantage of the health properties of food more than other methods of cooking because it reduces the consumption of a large number of calories, this method makes getting the most vitamins and minerals possible.

It is preferable to resort to this method before eating vegetables and fruits, especially broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, potatoes and apples. They also warn that it is best to prepare dishes containing red meat, fish and low-fat poultry.

A pressure cooker can be used. In the event that it is not available, it is possible to adopt a trick based on filling a cooker with water to its middle, then placing the food in a metal filter and fixing it above the water level without touching it. Then the lid is placed and steamed. It is advised to resort to this trick during the preparation of the breakfast table in the month of Ramadan.
