An-Najah News -  The Turkish health minister Fakhruddin Koja said that Turkey  has signed an agreement to buy 50 million doses of the Russian vaccine, "Sputnik V". That is to be supplied over a period of six months, and the first batch will arrive next month. 

He also pointed out that for the first time in the country, 5 infected people with the Indian variant of Covid- 19 had been detected in Istanbul, according to the Turkish Anadolu news agency.

The Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the day before Monday, that his country will impose a nationwide lockdown from April 29 to May 17 to limit the spread of the Coronavirus.
