An-Najah News - Health Minister Mai Al-Kaila said, Tuesday, that the number of deaths in the cases of corona virus infections in Palestine is still high, as 20 deaths were announced Monday, including 15 in the West Bank and 5 in the Gaza Strip.
Al-Kaila indicated that the indicators related to the Coronavirus are good, and there are fewer infections, but even after the decrease, the percentage is still high.
She added that the epidemiological curve began to fracture, and that this is due to citizens' commitment to preventive measures.
Al-Kaila explained that the family occupancy rate is good, as in the West Bank the occupancy rate is 58%, meaning that 42% of the beds are empty, and the occupancy rate on ventilators is 16%. These are good indicators, but we want to reach a point where there are no injuries.
She added that the numbers are high, but if we compare it with the past period and the pre-closure stage, where there were 170 cases on intensive care beds and 35 cases on artificial respirators, we will find that they are good and there is a decrease in the numbers.
Al-Kaila noted that this is due to recent government measures and citizens' compliance with them, noting that compliance is not 100% but good.
