An-Najah News - Sixteen fatalities and  2,536 Covid-19 cases were recorded in Palestine in 23 hours marking the highest daily number of cases since the pandemic outbreak nine months ago.

The shocking numbers were announced by the Health Minister Mai al-Kaileh in her daily report in the occupied territories.

Among the new cases, 226 cases were recorded in Hebron governorate, 336 in Nablus, 199 in Bethlehem, 80 in Qalqilia, 187 in Ramallah and al-Bireh, 145 in Jenin, 11 in Jericho & the Jordan Valley, 110 in Salfit, 124 in Tulkarm, 47 in Tubas, 77 in Jerusalem suburbs, 179 in Jerusalem city besides to 815 in the Gaza Strip.

She added that 1,032 Covid-19 patients have recovered and pointed that 64 Covid-19 patients are still being treated in intensive care units, pointing that recoveries account for 77.3 percent of total cases since the pandemic outbreak in March, active cases for 21.9 percent and the death cases accounts for 0.8 percent.
