An-Najah News - A study done by the University of Technology in Singapore expected the end of the Corona crisis in most of the Arab countries covered in the research during the coming May and June, with the exception of Jordan and Lebanon, where the results indicate the end of the pandemic in them on 19 and 22 of this month.

In this context, the head of the Department of Public Health and Epidemiology at An-Najah University, Dr. Abdul Salam Al-Khayyat, said that the mentioned study is purely mathematical, and no one can accurately predict the day that the corona pandemic will end, at all local, regional and global levels.

“These studies take into consideration all other fixed, not changing, factors, and this is the opposite of what exists on the ground; all are variable factors, so this study is just a mathematical statistic, which cannot be considered right,” Al-Khayyat said in an interview with An-Najah.

On the expectations of the end of Corona between May and June, Al-Khayyat said: “We hope for that, but we are now waiting for the results of random samples announced by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, which are 5 thousand samples, although this number is small, so the more examinations we have, the more we know if we are going more precisely.”

Al-Khayyat stressed the importance of awareness and commitment to safety procedures, noting that it is necessary to have a system of penalties for violators.

It is noteworthy that a study prepared by the University of Technology and Design anticipated the end of the Corona crisis, and the study was based on official data provided by a number of countries around the world about infections and the life cycle of the virus in some Arab countries.

The results of the study indicated that the Corona crisis will end in most of the Arab countries covered in the research during the coming May and June.

Except for Jordan and Lebanon, where the results indicate that the pandemic has ended on 19 and 22 of this month.
