An-Najah News - Agencies - American billionaire founder,, Bill Gates, revealed that launching a possible vaccine production against COVID-19 infection would be possible in the best case after a year, but the actual duration is two years.

Gates said, in an interview with “CNN” Sunday: “It is very difficult to narrow these time limits, and if the latest evolves perfectly we will reach the production range within one year. But it is possible that we will not be able to do that, and it may require accomplishing this at least two years.”

He pointed out that there are hundreds of projects related to developing the vaccine, calling for “choosing the most reliable innovations, finding the necessary funds to develop them and arranging their production simultaneously.”

Gates stressed that it is unavoidable to test the vaccine in 3 stages to obtain a license for it, considering that the estimates that say that it can start producing the vaccine are unrealistic.

Gates and his wife Melinda have already allocated 250 USD million to projects designed to prevent the spread of corona virus worldwide, and to develop the vaccine in 7 different laboratories under an international initiative launched by the World Health Organization.
