An-Najah News - Nablus - The Palestinian Spokesman of the EU, Shadi Othman, assured that the EU is cooperatining with Palestine to deal with the novel coronavirus in Palestine. Since the start of the outbreak, the EU contacted the Palestinian government to aid them in their fight with the virus. 

He continued that a half of these aids were given in the beginning of this year and a aid the value 71 million £, which aims at paying the salary of theworkers in the civic sector which will cost 40 million £ and another 10 million £ for the hospitals in Jerusalem. Along with, aids allocated for poor families, the refugees in the Palestinian camps in the West Bank and the Gaza strip. 

He assured that the main focus of the EU is on the occupied east Jerusalem due to the Israeli violations that this area suffers amid the pandemic. 

He continued that a press release that was issued by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, that the EU do not acknowledge the annexation of the West Bank and the east Jerusalem and consider them as occupied areas.
