An-Najah News - The World Health Organization (WHO) said on Tuesday that it is not possible at this time to determine the source of the Coronavirus, and revealed that it may be from an “animal”.

The WHO Regional Director for the Western Pacific region, Takshi Kasai, said that no results had been found regarding the source of Coronavirus, which caused the COVID-19 pandemic.

The available evidence so far indicates that the origin of the Coronavirus is “animal”, Kasai said, during an online news conference, according to Reuters news agency.

Many questions were raised, in the United States and some regions of the world, about the source of the pandemic and pointing the finger at the Wuhan Virus Laboratory, as it raised many speculations about the leakage of the virus from this facility.

However, China and its government continue to deny any connection with the spread of the coronavirus, and even the virus lab’s director denied this.

The WHO has stressed that any lifting of the general isolation measures imposed to contain the Coronavirus should be gradual, and said that if the restrictions were eased prematurely, there would be another outbreak.
