An-Najah News - The Italian authorities revealed a significant decline in the daily death toll from the Corona virus, as 431 new cases were recorded during the past 24 hours, at the lowest rate since 19th of March.

The Director of the Italian Civil Protection Authority, Angelo Borelli, said in a press statement today, Sunday, that the number of people who died in Italy due to corona rose during the past 24 hours by 431 cases and reached 19899 after it was at the level of 19468 yesterday, Saturday.

Borelli confirmed that this daily toll is the lowest rate since 19th of March, with a significant decrease in the frequency of deaths, as 542 cases were recorded in the country on 8th and 9th of April, 610, 10th of April 570 and 11th of April 619.

Borelli stated that the total number of registered cases of coronavirus in the country increased by 4092 cases and reached 156363.

And the latest figures indicate a relative stability at this rate, where he has recorded in the country over the past days, increases not exceeding 4805 cases in total.

Borelli also said that the number of infected people in intensive care facilities has witnessed a decrease for the 9th day in a row, and it now stands at 3343, compared to 3381 yesterday.

He reported an increase in the number of people recovering from the virus during the past 24 hours by 1787, as the outcome of the cures reached 34,211.
