An-Najah News - Agenices - Jordan News Agency (Petra) announced that 11 Palestinian students from the lands of 1948 were infected with the new virus (corona), indicating that they were found infected after leaving Jordan on 26th of March.

The agency clarified that information was received regarding the infection of 11 students from lands of 1948 with corona virus, who were residing in Irbid.

The agency quoted a corona file official in Irbid governorate, Wael Al-Hayajna, saying: "There is a match in the names of the injured, whose identity has been revealed through one of their professors at the university, after a call was received from one of the students to him, that the results of their tests were positive"

The head of the Medical Relief Committee at the Jordanian Medical Association, Irbid Branch, Saddam Al-Shannaq, said that the infected students had left Jordan on the 26th of this month, noting that a process of tracking and testing is underway for all people currently in the two buildings, who are Arab students, to find out who were in contact with them during the last period.

 

The Jordanian Minister of Health, Saad Jaber, announced that 11 people who left Jordan were confirmed as part of a group of students, including 190 students, to one of the nearby countries, "without being identified, with the new Corona virus, noting that more than 200 university students They were learning in Jordan, and they went back to the country last Thursday.

The students were then transferred to the quarantine in hotels of the Home Front Command (Boutique C of Galilee) in Tiberias, and (Prima Park) in Jerusalem, without confirmation or denial of any of them being injured so far.

 

The Jordanian Minister added: "We are not sure whether the infections are from the Irbid governorate, where they are studying, or if they have contracted the virus abroad," according to the Jordanian News Agency (Petra).
