An-Najah News - Agencies - Turkish Health Minister, Fakhruddin Kuja, announced today, Wednesday, that the number of deaths from the corona virus in the country has risen to 812, after recording 87 new deaths during the past 24 hours.

The Minister of Health stated that the number of infections increased by 4,117, bringing the total to 24,900 cases.

Fakhruddin Kujah stated that the number of people recovering from the corona virus rose to 1846.

Turkey had taken strict measures to reduce social contact, imposed quarantine on some cities, banned group prayers, closed schools, bars and restaurants, and limited travel between cities.

The Turkish authorities also announced earlier a curfew for those under the age of 20 and those over 65, in addition to the need to wear medical masks in public places.

The latest data show that the number of infected people in various countries of the world exceeded one million and 478 thousand infections, and about a quarter of the infections were recorded in the United States alone, and so far more than 85 thousand people have died.
