An-Najah News - FATEH spokesman, Eyad Nasir, renews the movement’s call on the international and human rights institutions to intervene immediately and urgently to put pressure on the Israeli Occupation Authorities to immediately release Palestinian detainees, especially the old-aged ones, the minors, women, and prisoners suffering from illness. Also, to push the Israeli authorities to sterilizing prisons.
Nasir has also confirmed that FATEH supports prisoners’ protests against the prisons administration actions. Their protesting acts are portrayed in returning meals and closing sections, to show that they reject the occupation prison’s administration policies that deprive prisoners of their rights.
He also stated that the Israeli occupation bears the full responsibility towards the prisoners’ lives, confirming that the Israeli authorities did not take any precautionary measures to prevent the prisoners from getting infected with coronavirus.
Recently, the Israeli prisons authority has withdrawn 140 items from prisons, including cleaning and sterilization items and important food that the prisoners need especially with the spread of the deadly virus.
